Holidays in Liguria Italy means beautiful and spectacular mountain and coastal scenery and some great Italian food.

Liguria stretches along the coastline of North West Italy and encompasses some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery in Northern Italy. It covers the provinces of Savona, Imperia, La Spezia and Genoa and includes the ever popular and dramatic region of Cinque Terre.

If you are looking for city sightseeing and history then look no further than the city of Genoa which has some great museums. From here, you are not a million miles away from the French Riviera and Monaco.
There are also many pretty coastal villages and towns in the region including the little harbour town of Portofino, the resort of Santa Margherita Ligure, Sestri Levante and Rapallo. For walking enthusiasts, the region boasts many great walking routes with ever changing and spectacular scenery.

Liguria is also famous for being the haunts of some of our great poets including Shelley and Byron.

If you have not been to this region of Italy before then you will be pleasantly surprised by its offerings and a Holiday in Liguria is sure to leave you with many pleasant memories.

Casa Villatalla Guest House is situated in a stunning location off the beaten track, in the hills above the medieval town of Dolceacqua in western Liguria, less than half an hour from the sea. From here there are wonderful views of the Ligurian landscape. Nearby are the coastal towns of Bordighera and San Remo, and the fabulous gardens of Villa Hanbury, and over the French border are Menton, Nice and the other towns and villages of the Cote d'Azur. Monte Carlo, where the Monaco Grand Prix is held, is 30 minutes' drive from here.
The nearest airport is Nice, about one hour's drive, where from Britain there are numerous cheap flights available.
