The Loire Valley, a region that runs through the heart of France is renowned for its magnificient chateaux, a legacy to its rich and glorious past. An area rich in both history and spectacular architecture with a range of sophisticated cities, great food and wines.

Its architectural and cultural appeal plus ease of access by road and rail makes it a very popular destination from a number of European cities including London, Brussels and Amsterdam.

Its cities like Orleans, Tours and Angers have been so embroiled in the history of the region that they easily portray life as it was during the 13th century but more authentic are the historic towns of Amboise, Blois, Beaugency, and Saumur which attracted artists and poets to the royal court.

The Renaissance châteaux of Chambord and Chenonceau are glorious symbols of the region's imperial rule and they dazzle sightseers with their ornamental gardens.
