An 18th Century farmhouse, renovated to a high standard retaining many of its original features but incorporating all modern amenities to create a warm and homely atmosphere for your stay.
We offer our rooms on a bed and breakfast basis with the option of an evening meal, where possible we serve organic meat from a local farm and new laid eggs.

The property rests in its own grounds with 2 acres of planted trees, shrubs and flowers. You are free to stroll around our fruit and vegetable garden which provides fresh produce for ourselves and guests throughout the year.
For relaxing, alfresco dining, dinner can be served under the pergola in the garden.

The accommodation has been created from part of the owners barn.
It has been totally renovated whilst retaining all of its original features.

The delightful market town of La Châtre was once a Roman camp or ‘ceastra’ from which it gets its name. There are one or two vestiges such as the Roman bridge that crosses the river Indre. There are also numerous wonderful medieval buildings in the centre, which leads to the market place where the Saturday market with dozens of stalls is a definite must to visit.
