Squeezed between its bigger brothers ie. Valencia and Andalucia, Murcia is one of the smaller regions of Spain. It is an area that has many great sandy Mediterranean washed beaches, fertile agricultural plains growing mainly fruit, vegetables and grapes and some rugged mountains, rivers and lakes.

Being less well known does not make it in any way inferior, it just makes it a great place to holiday.
Inland from the coast you will find much to explore including the Monastary de Santa Eulalia and the many National Parks which include the amazing Sierra Espuna.

The city of Murcia is the region's capital and is renowned for its Baroque style of architecture. It has some great shopping areas, restaurants, beautiful open squares that are restricted to pedestrians and park areas that are a joy to wander through.

The coastal La Magna Strip is about as developed as it gets and there are some great golf resorts that will challenge and please anyone who craves that type of holiday.

Murcia is indeed a very beautiful area of Spain with a pleasant climate and a local population that are both warm and welcoming.

Our house is a three bedroom two bathroom semi detached house situated in a small residential complex in Bolnuevo, near Puerto de Mazarron. It is two minutes walk to a long sandy beach and has the benefit of a large swimming pool right outside the back garden.
The house has its own secluded garden, backing on to the large swimming pool. And finally, there is a large solarium on the roof for soaking up that Spanish sunshine, (but don’t forget the sun tan lotion - it can get very hot up there!!). We have an air conditioning unit in the back bedroom for those really hot nights and the two bathroom windows and kitchen window have mosquito nets so they can be left open all night for cool ventilation
