Recently renovated with all expected modern conveniences, Casa Triana has beautiful views of the mountains and the village from the roof terrace.
It is one of the few houses in Competa to show a beautiful mosaic frontage, completed in 2004 by a local artist.
- LOUNGE
A comfortable lounge with three sofas, TV, video and hifi. Many of the walls of the house are decorated with framed paintings. With a gas fire, as well as a ceiling fan, our lounge will keep you feeling "just right" whatever the weather. With thick 2ft walls, the house keeps you cool in summer and well insulated in the colder months.
- KITCHEN
A completely modern kitchen with authentic granite stone worktops and solid wood kitchen cupboards. Ceramic Hob, oven, fridge freezer, microwave, electric kettle.
- DINING ROOM
The dining room comfortably seats six and is reached via an archway from the kitchen. It overlooks a small private plaza. With CD player and sofa bed. From the kitchen, steps lead up to the two bedrooms.
- BEDROOMS
There is a double room and a twin, next to each other. Oil filled heaters. .Stairs from the twin lead up to the bathroom and roof terrace.
- BATHROOM
A modern fully tiled bathroom with shower and bath and heater. There is a small utility room next to the bathroom, where you'll find the new washing machine (2010). It makes it very convenient to have the washing machine here as you have only to hang it out on the roof terrace on the same floor - in summer, a whole load can be dry in 30 minutes!
- ROOF TERRACE
A door leads to a small roof terrace with superb views over the mountains and rooftops of the village. Patio table and chairs are here for eating al fresco.In the summer, part of the terrace roof is covered with bamboo to provide protection from the hot sun.

COMPETA
Competa is a typical "white-washed" village, full of charm and welcoming people. It nestles in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara about 650m above sea level. It is only 18 km from the sea and about 50 km from Malaga. Competa is surrounded by national park. The Sierra´s Tejeda and Almijara reach an altitude of 2.000 meters. With only a 10 minutes walk from the village, you can be in the hills and countryside.
Competa has narrow streets winding through the village, some parts of which have remained unchanged for centuries. In the centre where the streets are too narrow and steep, there are no cars. There are however convenient supermarkets for shopping, less than 5 minutes from the house, as well as a local bakery, where you can pick up hot bread and croissants every morning.
Bars and restaurants throughout Competa are welcoming and there is a sufficient variety not to get bored! Mind you, this is not the type of place where you will find English "pubs" and "Fish and Chips" shops. Although the centre of the village is inaccessible by car, the periphery roads are good and there is no problem in getting where you want to go.

- There is a multitude of sports and activities to participate in should you wish to. On the other hand, there are peaceful sleepy, villages to find, where you can sit in the main square under a tree, drink in one hand, and watch the world go by.

THE MOUNTAINSThe village backs on to the Sierra Almijara national park with views to Mount Tejeda. If you go into the tourism office in Competa, you will find information on 4 wheel drives into the mountains and walk. Further north is the Sierra Nevada, a national park about an hour's drive away, with the highest mountain in mainland Spain at 11,000 feet. The Sierra Nevada is usually snow-capped for much of the year, and has oak, chestnut and pine forests on its lower slopes, giving way to Alpine tundra and rocky crags towards the summits.

Tariff Information
Tariff Range: from 220 to 350 EUR per week
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payments in euros or sterling
- CHANGEOVER DAY
- 30% due on booking (non-refunable) to hold your dates. The full amount is due 6 weeks before departure.
- A 150 euros (refundable) damage deposit is held before departure, and returned on receipt of the keys at the end of the holiday and confirmation that all is in order.
- Keys are sent out two weeks before departure with maps and directions.
- Money can be paid in sterling or euros.
