Both the house and gite are newly renovated with modern fittings, but retaining the traditional look. The House is totally isolated from the Gite with separate water heating, TV channel selections and gas supply. Air conditioning providing cooling and heating is also included for your comfort. Smoking is NOT allowed in the Gite or House.
Main House Accommodation
- The house has a large double bedroom upstairs with oak beams and a large king-size bed and 2 single beds in same room
- The small bedroom upstairs contains two single beds
- The bedrooms can comfortably accommodate five people, ideal for a family or group visiting Le Mans etc
- The main bedroom has a wardrobe and set of drawers
- A single bed or cot is also available in the same room
- Upstairs there is also an adjoining shower room with a wash basin, wc and a wall heater.
- Downstairs leads you to a large kitchen/diner room and a separate lounge.
- A split level front door leads you into the kitchen/dining area with a gas cooker, sink, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble-dryer
- The dining table has seating for six people
- Another door leads you into the lounge where there is a log fire, satellite wide-screen TV, DVD player and a collection of books to relax with
- There is also a double bed/settee in the lounge for extra guests or family which gives a maximum accommodation of 7
- Air conditioning and heating is included in the kitchen and lounge areas.
- We also have a telephone connection or WIFI suitable for Internet and email use (small charge for use).
Gite Accommodation
- A split level door leads you into the comfortable lounge/dining area with traditional terracotta floor tiles
- There is a satellite TV (BBC, ITV, FILM4 etc), DVD player and a collection of books and games to relax with
- Air conditioning provides cooling and heating and is included
- Behind the lounge/diner there is a kitchen area with a gas cooker, sink and fridge.
- Upstairs is a pleasantly decorated and carpeted bedroom with an en-suite shower-room
- You have a comfortable double bed and single bed (cot also available)
- The en-suite room is tastefully decorated with a large shower, WC, heater and washbasin
- A telephone extension can also be provided for a small charge
- A WIFI link also available for laptop computers
- Fantastic views across the valley.
- We are planning an extra double bedroom for 2010.
We have a garden in the front of the house and other areas where you can relax in and enjoy the views. Tables and chairs are provided together with loungers. A BBQ is available with outdoor lights. Try your hand at archery with our longbow and practice target.
We also provide B&B for those holidaymakers travelling South, exploring or house-hunting. This is a perfect place for both vacations and longer term lets where people are looking for their own place in France.

We are situated on a hillside off a quiet country lane with no immediate neighbours. Consequently, your view from all windows in the house or gite is directly across the valley. We have ten acres of pasture land and three friendly female ponies two of which are being trained for riding. There are a lot of pretty country walks in the area so bring your walking boots.
A pretty walk down the hill takes you to the local chateau Foulletorte. Continue up the other side of the valley to the popular Sillé forest which has public areas for walking, cycling and fishing by the lake at Sille Plage (Yes, there is a sandy beach there!). We have various set walks from our place, all via country lanes, tracks and forests. We can supply a printed map.
Relaxing in the garden and walking around the area may be all you need during your holiday, but there are several places you can visit for historical or leisure interest.
There are several restaurants by the lake and in Evron offering tasty menus at a reasonable price. We now have an English pub nearby in St Pierre! You could spend a whole day or two just exploring the area. Why not hire a paddle boat or try your luck at fishing.
Le Mans, set on the River Sarthe, best known for its 24 hour motor race, is also a beautiful medieval centre with Renaissance buildings, a Gothic cathedral and numerous museums. Other events are shown all year, such as the popular motorcyle weekend race in May.

Tariff Information
Tariff Range: from 225 to 420 EUR per week
Short Breaks - Self Catering
Charge per night out of season divide weekly rate by 7 and add 40 euros. Minimum short stay 2 nights.
Long term accommodation
Long term accommodation can also be arranged at a negotiable price (from 400 euros per month).
Credit Card payments accepted. Cheque or bank transfer also possible.
30% deposit required. Balance payable more than 10 weeks before booking date. Full amount payable if booking made less than 10 weeks before date. Security deposit 80 euros - returnable if no problems - payable with final balance.
