Accommodation (Bed & Breakfast Mill, sleeps: 13)
A 16th century monastic water mill surrounded by 5.5 acres of grounds with a mill pond of 1.5 acres. The mill is within walking distance from the town of Bléré along the river Cher. The property is 7 km from the Château of Chenonceau and 10 km from the Château of Amboise and is within easy reach of all other Loire castles.
The existing mill dates the XVIth century. The walls of origin forming the base always stand, as well as one of the fireplaces. The superior floors were reconstructed tuffeau there, the stone of the Val de Loire, during the XVIIth century.
The mill worked until 1959, when it was reconverted to farm, then abandoned by 1980.
The Mill offers 4 large guest bedrooms and a suite. All rooms have private bathrooms and are tastefully and individually decorated.
Dinners at the table d'hotes are possible on reservation and Florence is a fine cook of local products.
