• The fitted kitchen, incorporated into the large old chimney hood, is fully modernised with fridge and electric oven/hob.
  
  
• Adjoining the kitchen is a comfortable sitting area, with open log fire and exposed stone work.
  
  
• Steps from the sitting area lead to another, mainly stone built room with beams, which has a dining table and chairs for six people, plus an additional quiet seating area (sofa converts to double bed). Built into rock with no natural light, this area remains particularly cool in the hot summer months.
  
  
• A further room off the kitchen offers storage space for mountain bikes, roof boxes etc.
  
  
• On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one double, one twin. Both are decorated in a Provencal style with comfortable beds and attractive bed linen and chests of drawers. There is a dressing room with hanging space and shelving.
  
  
• The spacious bathroom has a bath with incorporated shower, washbasin and w.c.
  
  
• There is also a washing machine. Large good quality towels are provided.
  
  
• Built into rock, this property is a haven from the high summer temperature. The private west-facing terrace is planted in a Mediterranean style and equipped with garden table and chairs, making it a relaxing spot from which to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun
  
  
• Parking is adjacent to the terrace.

The accommodation is set in the countryside, in the 4.5 hectares (10 acres) grounds of a 16th century château. Lying at the foothills of the Luberon Natural Park, close to the Durance River, this is an ideal base for hikers and mountain bikers to enjoy the spectacular countryside and wildlife, year round. For artists there is endless inspiration with the vivid colours and wonderful natural light. There are also horse riding facilities and fishing available only a few minutes away.

The town of Pertuis is 5 kms from La Loubière and has a wide range of shops, from small family bakers to large supermarkets. It is also well served for restaurants and has a large weekly market.

The A51 motorway is only 10 minutes drive away which gives easy access to other towns and villages in Provence. To the south, Aix-en-Provence, famous for art, culture and its thermal spa, is just a 20 minute drive, whilst famous villages in the Luberon, including Lourmarin, Bonnieux and Tour d’Aigues can easily be reached by meandering country routes.

Guests at La Loubière have their own fenced in pool (12 metres x 6 metres) with comfortable loungers to relax on. The surrounding terrace is partly shaded by trees with beautiful views to the surrounding hills and garrigue. It is also a perfect spot from which to enjoy the wonderful sunsets. Pool towels are provided.

There is also a tennis court in the grounds of the chateau which guests have unlimited access to. Baby sitting is available during the evenings on request.
