Originally farm buildings, five of the six cottages are set in a courtyard, each in a position of peace and tranquillity. Comfortable and well equipped, each one has a TV, microwave, shower and bath. Beds with duvets are made up in readiness for your arrival. Each cottage has patio furniture. BBQ's available.

THE COTTAGES
- Oaktree is a three bedroom cottage on two floors with splendid views west towards Exmoor. Upstairs, it has a large double bedroom with an adjacent twin room. Downstairs it has a small separate kitchen, living/dining room with patio doors and a bathroom next to a small twin bedroom. Oaktree is heated with oil central heating.
- Cinders is a three bedroom, single storey cottage converted from a dairy. It retains beamed ceilings and part stone walls. Double patio doors open to lawn and a splendid view west. The sitting/dining room is 17ft 6in. square and includes an open plan kitchen. Cinders has a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a small bedroom with full size bunk beds. Cinders has night storage heaters and a wood burning stove.
- Coshes Garden Mr Coshes grew vegetables at south Farm many years ago. His single storey, two-bedroom cottage retains beamed ceilings and part stone walls. It also has an open plan kitchen and living room with patio doors to lawn and views. Coshes has a double bedroom and a second bedroom with a set of bunk beds and a single bed. It has night storage heaters and a wood burning stove.
- Stable Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage with a back stable door opening to views over farmland and distant woods. Heated with oil-fired central heating and a wood-burning stove it is a particularly cosy winter cottage., It has a separate kitchen and living/dining room. The double bedroom is off the living room and there are 2 further twin bedrooms and bathroom. Stable Cottage has parking near the back door and a sitting out area from which to catch the sun.
- Lake Cottage is a small charming cottage with lake views from every window. Ideal for fishermen being only 30 meters from Home Lake, the cottage has a tiled storage entrance with steps down into a newly fitted open plan kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher and dining/living room with wood burner. The master bedroom contains a double bed and a further bedroom is accessed from a door off the master bedroom and this has a set of bunk beds. .
- Carp: A spacious, two bedroom wooden lodge with large kitchen, lounge/dining area. It sleeps 5 in a double room and room with 3 sinlge beds. It has night storage heating, porch and lovely views over Home Lake and woodland. Carp Lodge tariff includes electricity. It is "No Smoking". A great cottage for group dining.

South Farm is a rural estate of 41 acres set in the beautiful Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nestled on gentle slopes between Honiton and Cullompton in mid Devon, we offer a self contained holiday with a choice of six self catering cottages and four coarse fishing lakes.
To cater for families we have a hot tub, sauna, exercise machines, a wet weather games barn with badminton and table tennis, wood fires, BBQ, a playground and fire circle, tennis and in summer, a heated pool.
The Blackdown Hills are known locally as the secret hills due to their tranquil setting. We think ourselves very fortunate to be living here and invite you to spend time with us.
Cottage tariffs include free fishing and free use of the tennis court, hot tub, sauna, games barn and outdoor heated pool (summer time only).
For the children we have a playground, wet weather games barn, trampoline and space to play.
Situated in Mid-Devon, we are central to Devon's many tourist attractions, summer and winter, beaches, moors, market towns, Torquay, Dartmouth and the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Beer, Sidmouth and Exmouth, all part of the recently designated Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site. Apart from coarse FISHING in our lakes, strolling our quiet lanes and enjoying birdsong and peace, you can also ride at Sheldon Equestrian Centre, cycle, play golf at one of Devon's many courses.
Or you could take to the skies and after visiting the Memorial Museum at Dunkeswell, launch yourself out of a plane, parachuting, go gliding, learn to fly or drift overhead in a hot air balloon from Exeter.
Honiton, 7 miles away is a delightful Devon market town. Shop at a Farmer's market or the High Street shops that offer the best of Devon food, then browse through the antique shops. Visit historical Exeter, the regional capital or bustling Taunton.
For the adventurous, there is 4X4 driving range, go-karting, hiking or mountain bike riding on our own Blackdowns, Dartmoor or Exmoor and surfing off the golden beaches of North Devon. And don't forget fossil hunting at Charmouth.
All year round Devon hosts Special Events and Festivals many of which are hosted at National Trust houses and gardens. So much to do and so little time!
If that all sounds too energetic come to South Farm with just a good book, a sketch pad or a rod. Forget the car and enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of rural Devon.
