Drive for 20 mins to a beach by the lake with boating, canoing, water sports, walks, pic nic area and refreshments. You will spend a full day at Lac de Gourledan & want to return again. The coast of Lorient is a 40 min drive for sea & sandy beaches & the finest Golf courses outside Scotland. Walk along the beach path & you will find many beaches & coves to explore. In the high season, Larmar Plage has it's own kids club on the beach leaving mum & dad time to relax & soak up the sun. By the side of the beach are a wealth of beach side restaurants. All have their menu's outside showing clearly the prices, or there is a takeaway & drinks. Walk into the town of Larmar Plage with interesting shops and bars. More details can be found at the Villa.

Pontivy is a 20 min drive for quality shops & a large supermarket is a 10 min drive from the village. Close to the area there are many attractions & activities for the young & not so young, our information folder in the Villa will give you many ideas on where to go & what to see.

A 3 course lunch is a must in the local restaurant or dinner at the village creperie serving both savory & sweet crepes, fish, chicken, lamp & pasta dishes & children are always welcome. After dinner sit in the tranquility of our Lake & listen to the sound that only fish splashing on the surface of the lake & the stillness of the night can make. Or stroll to one of the two bars in the village, & mingle with the locals, practice your French or let the locals practice their English with you, whatever you do, you will be welcomed by the most friendly of people, we know, we live here.
