A luxury conversion of a 200 year-old cornish stone barn and roundhouse. VISIT BRITAIN QUALITY PROGRAMME - 5 STARS.
Private gardens - overlooking rolling countryside, with views toward Bodmin Moor - contain patios with furniture and barbecues for relaxing around the traditional Cornish stone property. The owners offer their personal attention - without intruding on those private, romantic breaks.
The very best of Cornwall.
Ideally located for touring historic towns and buildings, great gardens, coast, moorland and country walks, golf, riding, fishing, wildlife centres, cycling the Camel Trail and many other rural and seaside pursuits. There are endless pleasures to enjoy; good doggies welcome.
We offer every comfort, in a traditional setting with quality furniture, comfortable beds with fine linen and fabrics, pictures and ornaments throughout. Each cottage has a wood burning stove, set in an inglenook fireplace. Every room enjoys central heating.
Bedlinen, towels and dining room and kitchen linen are of very high quality.
Digital TV, DVD and sound systems are, of course, there for your pleasure.
For those less mobile, our cottages are on single floor levels.
What makes us so good :
We care, we are attentive – but not in breach of your privacy. You are personally welcomed and shown round the cottage.
We offer –
- individual landscaped private gardens, each with patio, barbecue and lighting
- extensive range of kitchen extras and consumables

Locality (close to: Launceston)
Peaceful & quiet in beautiful countryside and just 8 miles from the dramatic North Cornwall coast.
In its rural quietness, away from all traffic and noise, Tremaine's a short car journey to the wonderful Atlantic Coast, historic Launceston, Bodmin Moor & the truly beautiful Tamar Valley.
Cornwall is a very special place. The Duchy isn't quite like a County in England; it's full of individual qualities, reflected in its art & literature, its history, folklore, language & that magic quality.
Things to see and do:
- the cluster of old fishermen's cottages they call Port Isaac - lovely atmosphere, narrow alleyways and lovely fish !
- the sea rolling endlessly on to Tregardock beach turns the mind to John Betjeman''s poem "Tregardock"
- Norman Castle of Launceston (once "Dunheved")
- the blossom at Lanhydrock - so near..
- a spring walk at Antony House - extreme pleasure..!
- the summit of Roughtor, second highest on Bodmin Moor
