Longbowe is comprised of 3 living pods all connected by a corridor.
One of the first striking features of the house is the living green roof made up of thousands of minature alpine plants, the colour an texture of the roof changes all year round.
Features:
- Inside there is a large well equipped kitchen with geo thermal underfloor heated natural stone floor.
The kitchen is a combination of natural oak and cherry woods.
There's ample seating for up to eight people in the kitchen.
It is equipped with fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, eye level electric cooker, gas hob and micro-wave.
- There are also two utility rooms off the kitchen.
- There are three bedrooms , two with queen size beds and the third bedroom has two single beds.
All bedrooms have solid wood oak flooring with geo thermal underfloor heating.
The main bedroom has an en suite with a walk in wet room.
All bedrooms are finished with natutal colours reflecting the stunning views from the house
- The main bathroom has a full size bath and a walk in wet room and is heated by geo thermal underfloor heating
- All water and heating in the house is heated by underground geo thermal.
- There is a huge sitting room with two sides of the room glazed to capture the views of the river Nore.
The sitting room has a natural gas fire, the black marble for the fire surround came from the famous "Black Quarry" which is located on the farm.
The fireplace is quite unique as there is a high content of fossil detail visible in the marble.
Locality (close to: Kilkenny)
County Kilkenny is situated in the heart of the ‘Sunny South East’ of Ireland and is one of the most accessible and popular counties in the country. Kilkenny city is known as the medieval city, as it is home to an impressive selection of historical buildings, the most spectacular being the famous Kilkenny Castle, which has been at the heart of the city for over 800 years. It can boast the famous Butler Gallery, which has been instrumental in creating a base for contemporary visual arts to flourish in the Southeast. Creativity is evident everywhere you go in Kilkenny, with an array of galleries, design studios and craft centres to be explored. The prestigious Kilkenny Arts Festival takes place every August. It plays host to Ireland and the world's finest artists, and attracts thousands of visitors.

An outstanding Cistercian abbey founded in the second half of the 12th century.
- Dunmore Cave (Ballyfoyle, Co. Kilkenny)
History and geology blend at Dunmore Cave to give an interesting and unique situation.
- Kilkenny Castle (Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny)
A 12th century castle remodelled in Victorian times and set in extensive parklands which was the principal seat of the Butler family, Marquesses and Dukes of Ormonde.
- Saint Canices Cathedral (Kilkenny City, Co Kilkenny)
The 13th century cathedral of St Canice is the second longest cathedral in Ireland
