Matthew and Bob, (Bob being my rescued border collie,) warmly invite you to come and stay in our friendly and informal bed and breakfast situated in the centre of the lively market village of Chaillac just off the village square, down a little lane next to the 15th century Chateau.
In our recently renovated village house we hope we have created a warm and homely atmosphere were you can relax and have a comfortable stay.
We would like you to think of our house as your house for the time you are with us.
At Chaillac we can offer a choice of three guest bedroom options all our rooms have central heating making them nice and cosy on those cold winter nights:
- THE ORIENTAL ROOM
with its sumptuous chocolate leather double bed and sofa plus original Chinese lacquered wardrobe and bedside cabinets with authentic Asian works of art.
This room has a private bathroom comprising bath with shower, washbasin and WC.
- THE RED ROOM
with its tasteful decoration, beautiful oak parquet flooring and comfortable double bed. Views over the courtyard and surrounding area.
It’s a great room for a good night's sleep or just to relax in.

- THE GUEST FLOOR

This arrangement is great for families or friends traveling together
An extra single bed can be placed in either of the rooms so that up to five people can be accommodated.
FAMILY SUITE
A large double room with a twin room next door with a shared bathroom an extra single bed can be placed in the double room so that up to five people can be accommodated.

As well as offering you a room for the night at Chaillac we can also provide you with a great three-course dinner or lunch.
In my former life I was a head chef and have worked all over the world so it should be no problem finding something to tantalize your taste buds.
My ingredients are always, whenever possible, fresh, local and organic.
Locality (close to: Saint Benoit Sault)
Chaillac Bed and Breakfast is in the centre of the lively market village of Chaillac just off the village square, down a little lane next to the 15th century Chateau.
Chaillac has plenty to offer visitors, the beautiful Lac de Rochgaudon, just 5 minutes walk from the house, comprises two large lakes both excellent for fishing, permits are available in the village and cost 18 €.
The large beach has a supervised swimming area with a waterslide.
Well maintained grounds, children’s play area and café.
In summer the spectacular firework display at the lake is not to be missed.
The village has a lovely old church, two café bars, an excellent restaurant, bakery, butcher and pharmacy all based around the village square, which on a Wednesday is the site of a small market.
Chaillac has a post office, mini supermarket also an English speaking local vet who is always happy to provide the necessary treatments and paperwork for animals traveling back to the UK with Pet Passports.
It is close to Argenton sur Creuse, Saint Benoit du Sault, Eguzon and La Souterraine a short drive from junction 20 or 21 off the A20 auto route.

All prices are inclusive of a continental breakfast.
No charge is made for children of 2 years and under, sleeping in a cot, unfortunately at the moment, we cannot supply a cot.
For longer stays of more than 3 days we are happy to offer a discounted rate.
Evening or midday meals are always available to order, please just ask.
A three course evening meal with complimentary wine and coffee would be 18.00€ per person.
