Accommodation (Self Catering Apartment, sleeps: 7)
Smugglers Steps houses two high quality, non-smoking, self contained apartments. They are on a street conveniently situated in a conservation area in the oldest part of the town, Fore Street, Ilfracombe leading directly down to the harbour.
Apartment 1 - First Floor - (Sleeps up to 5)
- Main Bedroom
containing a modern four poster bed.
- Second Bedroom
containing a 3/4 double bunk with a single bunk above, both rooms with a small fitted wardrobe.
- Bathroom
with shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rail.
- Kitchen
A newly fitted kitchen with washer/dryer, electric cooker with double oven and extractor, fridge and microwave.
An iron and ironing board are also provided along with the usual kitchen requirements.
- Lounge
The lounge is tastefully furnished with TV/DVD/CD and two sofas, one of which converts to a further double bed with spring interior mattress, if needed.
- The whole flat is heated by thermostatically controlled electric radiators and makes a cosy retreat in winter months.
Apartment 2 - Second Floor - (Sleeps up to 7)
- Recently refurbished and newly furnished, this apartment has been equipped to a high standard.
The apartment is electrically heated and offers a modern and contemporary style of furnishing, whilst maintaining its character with wooden beams and stonework.
- Bedroom 1 Bedroom 1
Two bedrooms: one with double bed and one with 4ft double & single bunk above. Both rooms are fitted with double wardrobes, drawer units and bedside cabinets.
- Kitchen Dining Room
A modern kitchen (includes breakfast bar), with oven & hob, full size integrated fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and microwave. An iron & ironing board are also provided, along with other kitchen requirements.
The dining room is situated off the kitchen and has seating for 6. In addition a high chair is provided.
Linen, apart from bath towels, is provided.
The beds are all made up with fresh linen at no extra cost.
Also included is a travel cot.

A well behaved dog is welcome here and in most of the local pubs.
Locality (close to: Ilfracombe)
Ilfracombe and the rugged coast of North Devon with over 850 square miles of Britain’s finest coast and countryside has something to offer everyone. The town itself has an impressive selection and variety of pubs, restaurants and shops.
The surrounding countryside is spectacular with sea views, ideal for walking holidays and scenic drives. Walk along the coastal path through the superb scenery to Fuscia Valley and Lee Bay.
Travelling eastwards will take you to Hele Bay, the beauties of Hunters Inn and Heddons Mouth, The Valley of the Rocks and the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth.
A short drive will take you to the golden sands of Woolacombe and Saunton stretching for over 5 miles and which are some of the finest and cleanest beaches in Europe.
Activities and attractions abound. Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are nearby. Explore the antiques shops of South Molton or take a day out to the Pannier Market in nearby Barnstaple.
There are opportunities for horse riding on the moors or the beaches.
Golfers of all standards are catered for with crazy golf on the sea-front, pitch and putt course on Hillsborough or the taxing links course of Ilfracombe which welcomes visiting golfers, as well as the championship course at Saunton.
Traffic-free cycling starts nearby on the famous Tarka Trail and cycle hire is available.
Ships and boats working out of the harbour will take you fishing or sightseeing, or perhaps on a day trip to Lundy or to Swansea.
Visit the famous Tunnels Beaches to see how Victorians enjoyed sea bathing in Ilfracombe.
Enjoy a fabulous cream tea.
Ilfracombe boasts a large variety of restaurants and friendly pubs.
The town has been a popular family resort since Victorian times and in the summer holiday weeks bursts into activity. Most of the year, however, the harbour has a village atmosphere with a tranquility that reflects the relaxed Devon pace of life.

Tariff Range: from 190 to 715 GBP per week

form £288 to £715 per week
A non-refundable deposit of £50 per week is required when booking.
