La Villonnière is an attractive, restored fermette standing in an acre of landscaped gardens surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. We provide high-quality bed and breakfast accommodation all year round, in tranquil, rural surroundings.
We offer bed and breakfast with a difference, here you will have your own room in our house and come and go as you please, the gardens are yours to enjoy, the salon for your meals and a place to read, watch television, DVD's, videos.
Accommodation
- At La Villonnière we have three comfortable guest bedrooms, two of our rooms have a double bed and the third, our family room has a double bed and a full size single bed.
- Both double rooms have enough space to accommodate a folding bed or cot so parents can share a room with a small child.
- All of our bedrooms are centrally heated and have en-suite facilities with shower, wash hand basin and WC.
- The Salon
When you do not feel like going out to eat, we are more than happy to provide an evening meal, as long as you tell us in advance and let us know your likes and dislikes. Alternatively you are welcome to buy your own food to prepare and eat here, either in the salon or at one of the tables in the garden, the choice is yours. The kitchen opposite the salon is solely for the use of our guests and is equipped with a microwave oven, fridge, toaster and kettle; kitchen utensils, china and cutlery are provided. Tea, coffee, chocolate, milk, juice and squash are always available in the kitchen to ensure that our guests can make a drink whenever they feel like one at any time night or day
- Evening Meals
We can provide an evening meal for you at any time during your stay. Meals are a set three courses and include wine with the meal and tea or coffee afterwards. Please let us know your likes and dislikes or any special dietary requirements so that we can take these into account when planning your menu.
Locality (close to: Argenton sur Creuse)
Situated in a small hamlet of five houses, a few minutes drive from junction 20 off the A20 autoroute. At the south of the department of L'Indre on the borders of Limousin, a short drive from Argenton sur Creuse, Saint Benoit du Sault, Eguzon and La Souterraine, La Villonnière provides an oasis of calm away from the stresses of the motorway.
This region of France, is not widely known and yet it is within easy reach of the airports at Limoges or Poitiers. High speed train service from Paris takes just two hours to reach Argenton sur Creuse and the toll free A20 motorway helps make driving from the ferry ports, relatively stress free.
Perfect for rest and relaxation the unhurried way of life is one of the greatest charms of l'Indre and Limousin, a deeply rural area, unashamedly rustic, the gentle countryside glistens with water in the rivers and lakes, a popular centre for water sports enthusiasts and an angler's paradise. Walkers and nature lovers will relish the trails that cut through the fields and forests where wildlife abounds and the 'Rat Race' seems very far away.

Chateaux, museums and historical sites are everywhere, we have selected a few that we think are well worth visiting, the rest you must discover for yourselves but you will have to return time and again if you would like to see all that L' Indre and Limousin have to offer.
Dining
There are plenty of very good restaurants near to the house, Parnac is nearest, you could walk if you felt energetic, Argenton sur Creuse, Saint Benoit du Sault, Eguzon, and Chaillac are just a short drive away and offer a diversity of menus to suit all tastes.

Tariff Information
Tariff Range: from 45 to 80 EUR per night
- Double room, two people ........................... 50 euros per night.
- Double room with additional folding bed ........... 65 euros per night.
- Room with single occupancy ........................ 45 euros per night.
- Three people in our Family room ................... 65 euros per night.
- Two people using our family room as a twin room ... 55 euros per night.
The prices above are inclusive of a continental breakfast for each occupant.
All of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities with shower, wash hand basin and WC.
For longer stays, out of season, a discounted rate may be arranged. Please contact us with your requirements we will always try to accommodate.
