Once a working farm, the traditional buildings and barns of Les Moustans have now been tastefully renovated and converted into well-equipped holiday accommodation.
The Old Barn has been converted into six independent gîtes.
Four of the gîtes (Gîtes 1, 2, 4 & 5) are on the upper floor, the other two gîtes (Gîtes 3 & 6) are located on the ground floor.

Each of the 4 gîtes on the upper floor (Gîtes 1, 2, 4 & 5)

• accommodates 2-4 people
  
• furnished to a high standard. with the barn's original roof structure and beams incorporated into the now modernised surroundings
  
• a fully-equipped kitchen area with a fridge, a cooker & oven, a microwave, a toaster and a kettle/coffee machine
  
• the living areas all have a dining table, chairs and a double sofa bed.

• a bathroom with a shower, a hand basin and a toilet.
  
• each gîte has its own small, private balcony equipped with a garden table and chairs - the perfect place to admire the view from whilst sipping an early-evening aperitif!
  

The two ground-floor gîtes (Gîtes 3 & 6)

• Gîte 3 has one triple bedroom furnished with a double bed and a single bed.
  
  
• Gîte 6 has two bedrooms - the larger bedroom has a double bed, the smaller bedroom has bunk beds.

• both have private terraces furnished with a garden table and chairs.
  

From The Old Barn, the two swimming pools are just a short walk across the grounds.

Tucked away in a rural setting, Les Moustans is surrounded by the delightful open countryside and vineyards of the Lot.

Guests have a choice of two superb swimming pools in the grounds. Surrounded by a large terrace equipped with sunloungers, both pools are just a short stroll away from the gîtes. The pools (one of 12m x 6m, the other with a 6.5m diameter) are serviced and cleaned daily.

In addition to the pools, a boules piste and a children's play area have been provided in the extensive grounds - which also offer plenty of wide open spaces for children to play and let off steam. To escape the heat of the sun, a games room has been equipped with table tennis, darts and other games.

Throughout the grounds, garden tables and chairs have been provided for guests to use.
There are shady spots for those who want to barbecue in the cool or who want to relax with a good book and a glass of wine - and sunny spots for those who want to soak up the summer heat and do a bit of sunbathing!

Between June and September, there are festivals and fairs celebrating everything from garlic to grapes. Enjoy live music, dancing and sampling the local delicacies in the hot summer sunshine.

During July and August, Montcuq has an extra market every Thursday and Caussade has a hat market on Mondays (July only).

St-Matré has a beautifully restored church, a small restaurant, a "dépôt de pain" where you can buy fresh bread, a tennis court, a post office and a petrol station.

St-Matré's Château Vent d'Autan vineyard produces organic red wine. Since 1991, the grapes have been grown without the use of chemicals, pesticides or weedkillers. The wine has the label "Demeter" - an organic classification which has been awarded to just 55 vineyards across the whole of France.
