Mas La Monaque is an ancient recently restored farmhouse which was built in 1658.
It is located at the foot of the Alpilles range close to the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence and between the villages of Maussane les Alpilles and Mouries.

- The Grounds - the house is situated on 7.5 acres of grounds highlighting the colour and character of the Alpilles.
The olive trees, irises, and lavender are typical of this ancient region.
Enjoy the Provencal game of "petanque" on the boules pitch under the pine trees or simply take in a leisurely walk exploring the terrain.

Locality (close to: Les Baux de Provence)
Located at the foot of the Alpilles range close to the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence and between the villages of Maussane les Alpilles and Mouries and only 40 minutes from Marseille Provence International airport.
The surrounding area is richly endowed in beautiful villages such as Les Baux de Provence, Saint Remy de Provence, Maussane Les Alpilles and historic regional towns such as Arles, Avignon, Marseille, and Aix-en-Provence.
There is also a wide variety of local attractions including several golf courses, and world-renowned, outdoor Provencal street markets.
Les Baux de Provence, officially classified and labelled as "one of the most beautiful villages in France" is situated in the heart of the Alpilles on a rocky plateau 245 metres high.
The superb stone fortress is one of the "must sees" if you are visiting Provence and the medieval village has a wonderful selection of shops selling Provencal products as well as several restaurants with excellent reputations.
The Le Baux vineyards produce wine of an excellent quality and the "Cathedrale d'Images" visual show is an unforgettable experience.
This region, along with the area immediately surrounding Mas La Monaque, is the largest olive producing region in France.
