The house is a charming Tuscan home on two levels. It is beautifully restored with stone exterior walls, wood beams, terra cotta ceilings, chestnut doors and windows, and terra cotta floors. It has two big double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen for meal preparation and fine dining in the dining area. The living area has a wood burning stove. The house is designed for a cozy and intimate get-away for all seasons. The bedroom room in the lower level opens to the veranda/terrace that commands majestic views of rolling hills, valleys and the beautiful grounds of the property. The veranda / terrace is a private and relaxing place to sunbathe, read, enjoy romantic meals or stargaze into the night.
The stonehouse is equipped with all modern amenities including fully equipped cooking utensils for meal preparation and fine dining with china and silverware, central heat and wood burning stove, complete bedding and bath linens. Also included are satellite television, WiFi internet and stereo. Utilizing the fold-out sofa, a maximum of 6-8 persons can be accommodated.
The grounds are carefully landscaped with ponds, olive grove, vineyard, fruit trees and flowering plants. There are plenty of well planned grounds / outdoor sitting areas for wonderful picnics and to enjoy the beauty of nature.
Among the rolling Tuscan hills, you can explore the nearby hills, fields and streams bountiful with wild life, chestnut, walnut, mushrooms, rare ferns and wild flowers. The property overlooks a small tranquil village in which its proud residents have lived for generations in their family homes. Straight and elegant cypress trees, mountain streams with rapids and waterfalls adorn this charming little Italy village. A famous Tuscan restaurant 'Il Rifugio', that attracts patrons from Milan and Florence, is within a 5-minute walk.

Casa Cappellino is located in the beautiful hills of central Tuscany close to the birthplace of the world renowned sculptor, painter, architect and poet Michelangelo. It overlooks the beautiful village of Lama with its surrounding fields of grapes and sunflowers. Furthermore, it is centrally situated within easy access to major attractions in Tuscany/Umbria. You can take day trips to Florence, Pisa, Bologna, Siena, Perugia, Assisi, or Rome.
Casa Cappellino can be accessed via Florence (less than two hours from the North), Rome (less than 3 hours from the South), Pisa (less than 3 hours from the West), or Perugia (less than 2 hours from the South) as well as from Arezzo, Bologna or other key Italian cities. Please call for preferred directions and travel options.
Upon arrival, you will be immersed in the tranquil environment and culture that only Tuscany can provide.
Spend your days exploring historic sites such as Anghiari, shopping in nearby Arezzo, or simply relaxing with a fine local wine on the Casa Cappellino veranda with its spectacular views over the countryside.
In the evenings enjoy many wonderful local restaruants including the famous Il Rifugio (a 5-minute walk from Cappellino) or dine in your home with fully equipped kitchen.

There are outdoor sitting areas throughout the property where you can choose to spend your time with a bottle of wine on our 'love bench' by the pond or under the grapevine covered pergola. The veranda/terrace is completely private and it commands magnificent views across rolling hills to the birthplace of Michelangelo and a panorama view of Lama that lies in the valley below.
