Accommodation (Self Catering Gite, sleeps: 4)
Petite Chambou’ is a newly restored cottage attached to a large barn, which was completed in March 2007, so everything is brand new.
The house has been carefully restored to blend original character with all modern conveniences and thus still enjoys exposed stone walls, exposed beams and tiled floors. As the property is traditionally built, it is cool in the hot summer months, giving visitors a place to relax away from the heat. In the winter the property is heated with electric heaters.
Petite Chambou (sleeps up to 4 + cot)
- Bedroom
A beautiful room with exposed stone wall to one elevation, and beamed ceiling.
It has large double French doors leading to a small patio areato the front of the property.
Furnishing includes a double bed,wardrobe, bedside cabinet and dressing table.
A Cot can be placed in this bedroom if required.
- Bathroom
The large spacious bathroom has bath with shower, toilet and basin and beautiful exposed stone walls.
Towels are provided.
- Living Room/Kitchen
This is a comfortably furnished living room with sofa and a 2 seater sofa be includes a stereo with CD player,television with English satellite, DVD & Video player.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer,washing machine, dishwasher and microwave oven.
The dining table seats four in comfort,plus a high chair if required.
- Outdoors
A large patio area equipped with gas BBQ, sun loungers and garden furniture overlooking the fields and countryside leads into the kitchen/living room.
The owners, Gerard and Lindsey live in the adjoining house, and whilst on hand to assist with any queries or share a bottle of local wine,
the properties are entirely self contained and private from one another.
Locality (close to: St Jean de Duras)
‘Petite Chambou’ is a traditional and newly renovated cottage attached to a barn, located in the Hamlet of St Jean de Duras, which is in the beautiful Lot et Garonne, close to the Dordogne border, making it very central for touring this historic region.
Within easy reach of ‘Petite Chambou’ are many historical and beautiful towns,such as Issigeac, Castillones, Eymet, Duras and Beaumont, each having a weekly market.
Petite Chambou is conveniently situated just 15 minutes drive from the well supplied market town of Duras and 10 minutes from the Bastide town of Eymet, with supermarkets, bars, cafés, bakers, butchers, fishmongers and wonderful markets.
There are beautiful Chateaux and towns to visit; Monbazillac of the famous sweet white wine is close by as is the abandoned fairy tale Chateau Bridoire.
Magnificent Biron and Beynac and of course Chateau Milandes, once owned by the legendary Josephine Baker, are all within easy reach.
Leisure lakes, golf courses, fishing, pony trekking and many other activities are all available close by,such as the famous golf course
Chateau Vigiers.

Tariff Range: from 300 to 500 EUR per week
Bookings are Friday-Friday (see opposite for weekly rates)
All prices are for one week from Friday and include:

Tea Towels
Bath and hand towels
Welcome pack of groceries
Electricity
0ut of season bookings for short breaks or long winter lets are available.

As we want your stay at ‘Petite Chambou’ to be as relaxing as possible we offer a range of additional services such as babysitting, additional cleaning, shopping for groceries for your arrival or having a meal waiting for you, collection from airport, bicycle hire,etc.
