The accommodation is luxuriously fitted with oak kitchens, handmade terracotta floor tiles and of course each home retains much of its original charm featuring beams and exposed stone walls, all restored in perfect sympathy by local craftsmen.

Le Nid, meaning 'the Nest' was restored in 2004 from one of the original Le Roudier buildings. It started out as the farm's bakehouse and during its transformation was home to a nesting swallow (hence the name).

Accommodation (sleeps up to 3)

• It is a purpose built studio apartment, tiled throughout with a fully fitted kitchen and shower room to the rear.
  It benefits from superb views of the Dordogne countyside and to the front is the shared swimming pool and terrace.
  Although ideal for 2 people, the sofa bed in the dining area does allow for an extra person.
  
• Kitchen/ Living area : Fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, gas cooker and microwave.
  
• Satellite TV (English freeview channels).
  
• Shower room : Shower with washbasin and WC.
  

Linen:
All necessary bedlinen, towels, teatowels and pool towels are provided.
The cottages are cleaned through each week.

High Chairs & Cots:
There are two high chairs and two cots available but no linen is supplied. Stairgates are also available. These are supplied free of charge but you must request these items at the time of booking.

From Le Roudier you can visit the chateaux and bastides of the western Dordogne region, the vineyards of Bergerac and St.Emilion and the many attractions of the central Dordogne and Vezere valleys are within an hour's drive.

Eymet, with a good range of shops is 6 kilometres away, although you can buy your morning croissants at Fonroque, only 2 kilometres away.

With the 3 golf courses in the area, 2 within 20 minutes drive, together with lakes for windsurfing plus canoing and fishing on the Dordogne,tennis in Eymet and horse riding in Sadillac mean there are plenty of outdoor activities.

Bergerac is a lovely old town with good restaurants and shops, together with a lively and varied cultural programme. Local produce is abundant in restaurants which range from farmhouse hospitality to haute cuisine and the lively local markets make shopping a pleasure.

Bergerac Airport is serviced by direct flights from London Standsted, Liverpool (RyanAir) Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham (Flybe) and is only 15 mins in the car.

For our Irish visitors there are direct flights from Dublin to Bordeaux 1.5 hours drive (AerLingus and Air France) or Toulouse 2 hours drive (AerLingus).
