Donkeys and sheep mingle with wild birds around the pond and river whilst buzzards soar above. Knowle Farm in the heart of South Devon is a paradise for little children with ANIMALS AND INDOOR FACILITES including INDOOR HEATED POOL AND TODDLER SOFT PLAY AREA. Open your cottage door and the chickens and ducks will be waiting. Don't forget the pigs and rabbits!

The Cottages

• Woodbine will sleep up to eight plus two or three cots (if available) and is ideal for two families.
  
• Moncks Green will sleep up to six plus a cot. This is an 'upside down' cottage.
  
• Applecross will sleep up to four plus a cot. This is an 'upside down' cottage converted from an old grain storage barn.
  
• Clematis will sleep two adults plus one child or a cot. A single storey cottage
  
• Foxglove will sleep up to four plus a cot. This is an 'upside down' cottage.
  
• Cow-mumble will sleep up to four plus a cot. This is an 'upside down' cottage.
  

• Set in 44 acres of wonderful countryside all cottages overlook lovely farmland views.
  
• The cottages are rated by the English Tourism Council with Four Stars.
  
• The above accommodation information refers to our four bedroom cottage 'Woodbine' which sleeps eight but we also have cottages to sleep six, four and two/three persons.
  
• All share superb facilities including a new indoor heated pool (opened in May 2005), a superb purpose built indoor soft play area for toddlers (including ball pool, slide, tunnels, loft-house and other toys), tennis, table tennis, pool table and outdoor play areas.
  
• The area is awash with local attractions and there is an excellent 11th century local village pub that is child friendly.
  
• Wonderful sandy beaches are within 30 minutes.

Knowle Farm is set in rural countryside on the outskirts of Rattery, which is approximately ten minutes West of the historic market town of Totnes on the River Dart.

We are just three hours from London and the Midlands, being a short and easy drive from the main A38 link road from Exeter to Plymouth.
A marvellous array of wonderful countryside surrounds us including the majestic Dartmoor National Park, which is on our doorstep. Within 30 minutes are superb sandy beaches with spectacular coastline. The South Hams is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty.

As we are centrally located to the whole of the South Devon area we offer an ideal base for those looking for somewhere to relax while on days out they can explore the enormous variety of countryside and places of interest that can be found throughout the region.

Within the village of Rattery itself and a pleasant walk from the farm, via either the footpath or the country lanes, is one of the oldest pubs in England. The ‘Church House Inn’ dates back to 1028 and offers an excellent menu for eating out, lunchtime or evening (including an area for those with children). A never-ending choice of other high quality pubs and restaurants are within a short driving distance.

The area offers a wide range of things to do for all ages with steam trains, boat trips, local fishing, riding, golf courses, superb walking country and numerous fun places to go with the children. Pennywell Farm and Wildlife Centre, repeatedly voted the West Country’s Best Attraction, is under two miles away and a whole host of other top class attractions are within easy reach of Knowle Farm.
