We invite you to enjoy rural charm and stay in an X Century fortress. Romanic arches and stone walls are all part of this ancient structure which is nestled in a quiet village with only 15 inhabitants. The castle is surrounded by fields of cereal grains, gardens and forests of oak trees.
The labyrinthine, 900-year-old castle is more museum than hotel.

CUISINE
There are many reasons to spend a few days in Palouet and one of the most important ones is to try our cuisine. In the Romanic dining-room you can enjoy a selection of dishes made with the very best of our local produce. Roger personally chooses the ingredients and the recipes. He has been apprenticing and working in the kitchens of various well known establishments for more than ten years.

You can find us in Palouet, La Segarra, a region of central Catalonia that is a crossing point of important routes. (A-II, the transversal axis and the Pyrenean axis)

This is a land of conquering and reconquering that has left a rich cultural heritage of castles, watch towers, churches and hermitages.
Palouet has 15 inhabitants and is a quiet little village that has managed to conserve its charm, (narrow streets, stones arches, homes built using the popular, local, architectural styles, a communal oven), where you can relax far from the agglomerations of the most common tourists spots.

The Leisure and/or cultural activities available are numerous.
There is an abundance of cultural sites to visit as La Segarra has always been a crossroads of civilizations that left their mark wherever they passed.
You can visit various castles as well as the fortress villages or the old quarter of Solsona or the Jewish quarter of Torà. Wine Tasting tours throughout Costers del Segre where you can visit wine cellars and the cava producers who make both wine and cava.

Activities include:

• Play golf in the pitch and pat that is only 4 kilometres from Can Cuadros.
  
• Trekking and BTT are available.
  
• Balloon rides through central Catalonia to discover the heart of this region from the sky.
  
• Visit the traditional markets of the area.
  
• Bird watching on the pond in Palouet and on the roads of Logregós where you can enjoy the presence of many different species
